Wild Child

Loves to wear daddy's socks, the girls boots, my heels (somebody should I guess), winter hats (even though it's still 80), and any other random clothing he can find. "Shaving" with yogurt - did this in the couple minutes I had my back to him while making dinner.

Posted a little about this last month but finally put the pictures. This is the 1/2 jar of pommade he found in the bathroom drawer while I was helping the girls pick out clothes.

The cornstarch that helped get it out - 9 washes with 3 different shampoos and 2 rounds of cornstarch was all it took for his hair to be almost normal again. :)
He found this really entertaining as well. Hopefully it doesn't make him want to get other junk in his hair just to be able to put the white powder in it!
Walks/struts around a lot with his hands in his front or back pockets. Top ten things he did last week (in no particular order of craziness):
1) Came downstairs before me two days in a row, pulled a chair up to the island, and got 2 Reeses Peanut Butter cups out of a Halloween candy basket. Chocolate was dripping out of his mouth. (Candy is now off the island.)
2) Pulled a chair in the playroom up to a cabinet, got to the top shelf, pulled a dry erase marker out of our "school bag," and started drawing with it - on the rug.
3) Put all the dirty laundry from the laundry room into the washer, pulled a chair from the kitchen table into the laundry room, turned the washer on, and was turning the dial when I stopped him before he pushed the start button which I'm sure he would have. Helpful I guess, if I can just get him to sort colors and add soap!
4) Drew with a pen on the kitchen floor.
5) Dumped a box of small peanut butter crackers and a bowl of dry rice krispies on the playroom floor - on purpose.
6) Was standing on the table in the playroom just looking out the window and talking on his phone when I walked in to see what he was playing with - as if he ever plays with a toy. I think he said something like "toys are so boring. why would I play with toys?"
7) Started big time with the word "why?" Says it to every response - multiple times. Also loves the word "Nope."
8) Has slept with his boots on every night over his footy pajamas.
9) Took his pants and diaper off in the sandbox and came up to me on the deck smiling saying "pee pee."
10) Didn't stop talking the entire way to and from lafayette and I could only understand about 50% of it. No shortage of words for this kid! If we can just get all the sounds, we'll be all set! Thank goodness for speech therapists:) Oh wait, he did sleep for 20 min on the 2 hour drive home. I vowed to never make that drive during rush hour for the rest of my life!
I can't wait to see what all he has in store for me this week! He's certainly a wild child-
but man do I love him!

You need to print out that Top Ten list and make a scrapbook page of it. Hilarious!

A day in the life of Kai Warner. What a trip! I wonder how gray your hair is under that color... ;)

Oh boy... I just got a look back in to my past!!! I must tell you that at almost four years old, we have calmed down quite a bit. We still get the occassional "boy tricks", but your post just made me kinda miss the days of finding him sitting IN the toilet. Can you blame them with all the girls they have around!?!!
