Camping Fun

A couple weeks ago we went camping at Miami Whitewater Forest in Ohio. Matt and I have been wanting to go again ever since we took Kai when he was 6 weeks. We both love camping and decided to give it a try with the whole crew. We had so much fun and everyone surprisingly slept pretty well. We had fun roasting hot dogs and smores and went hiking in the morning. The girls even carried their backpacks for our mile hike. I thought for sure I'd be carrying one by the end, but they never even asked. They all loved it and we did some learning on the way!

I was very nervous about Kai near an open fire - the two just don't sound good together. We were very careful and thankfully it went ok.

It got a little chilly, but everyone stayed snuggly warm in their jammies!

We highly recommend doing this with your kids! Ours can't wait to go again in the spring. Let us know if you'd like to borrow our giant tent - it fit all of us very comfortably!
